Beach fale's (fal-ah) - these traditional huts, similar to the traditional houses are built without walls and for family groups to stay in. Some fales are much smaller, accomodating only a couple people. These provide shade during the day and with netting and the blinds woven from coconut leaves provide one shelter from the wind, rain, and/or mosquitos. These westernized fales with the metal roofs are said to be much more uncomfortable than the traditional wood roofs, though can be rented for an overnight stay for next to nothing   (12/52)
